Cerederm is a self-adhesive silicone-coated dressing for the treatment of scars, which is invisible and simple to use.
Clinical tests have shown the effectiveness of the dressing. The silicone gel relieves itching, softens the scar and reduces redness.
The medical grade silicone smoothes out the scar and limits its development.
Which type of scars can it be used on?
Scars often appear after a bum, surgical operation, an accident, a skin reaction, etc.
Treatment is effective on hypertrophic scars (red coloured) or keloid (raised and fibrous, firm and thick), either old or new.
Cerederm is highly recommended in the preventative treatment of a closed wound and on scars caused by surgical operations.
The specific shapes (anchor and round) are particularly adapted to post-operative treatment in the case of breast reconstruction and enlargement.
Cerederm is not advised for open wounds, bedsores, weeping wounds, burns or mucous wounds.
For optimum effectiveness, Cerederm must cover the scar by more than a centimetre. The dressing must be worn daily over a treatment period of 2 to 6 months.
Results are visible after two months of use. The scar is more flexible, smoother and softer.
